Netskope Pricing and Licensing: What to Put in Your Quote

Understand Netskope user, CASB API seat, application-segment, and scanning entitlements before comparing SSE and SASE costs.

How much does Netskope cost?

A current Netskope price requires a quote for your specific products, quantities, entitlements, and contract. We did not verify a public 2026 rate card that would support a universal per-user price. A number described simply as “Netskope pricing” is insufficient to budget a deployment.

There are, however, useful public licensing details. Private Access has user and application-segment dimensions. CASB API can use user or seat licensing and includes a defined retroactive scanning allocation. Those distinctions can materially change the quantities on your quote. This guide explains the evidence available as of October 13, 2026, and provides a worksheet for comparing offers.

Start with the coverage you need

Netskope One SSE brings together web, cloud, and private-application security capabilities. Netskope describes SWG, CASB, Private Access, cloud firewall, and remote browser isolation within its SSE portfolio. That product overview does not establish which features your order includes. Netskope One SSE overview.

Use these requirements to separate the buying decisions:

RequirementProduct or capability to specifyQuestion for the quote
Inspect web traffic and control URLsNext Gen Secure Web GatewayWhich threat protection and isolation functions are included?
Control SaaS use during user activityInline CASBWhich applications, activities, and personal instances are covered?
Inspect information already in sanctioned SaaSCASB APIWhich licensing model, instances, and scan allocation apply?
Detect and prevent sensitive-data movementDLPWhich channels and classification methods are entitled?
Provide access to internal applicationsPrivate AccessHow many users and application segments are allowed?
Connect and steer branch trafficSD-WAN or SASE BranchWhat site, capacity, hardware, and support items are quoted?

Netskope distinguishes inline CASB for data in motion from direct API integrations for data at rest. Do not assume that buying inline inspection automatically includes every API connector or historical scan. Netskope CASB product explanation.

For DLP, describe the actual workflow: preventing uploads to personal storage, inspecting sensitive documents, or enforcing controls in a particular application. Netskope documents methods including exact data matching and OCR, but a capability page is not proof of your purchased entitlement. Require the quoted package to cover the method and channel you will use. Netskope DLP overview.

What public licensing terms confirm

Private Access: users and application segments

Netskope defines an application segment as a private application definition in its console. Its current terms say user subscriptions cannot be shared between individuals and that segment allocation depends on the quotation. Incremental user or segment entitlements can be purchased.

The documented Light User option has a maximum of five application segments and 100 MB of traffic per user per month. Treat that as a restricted entitlement, rather than a discounted substitute for an unrestricted employee license. Private Access licensing terms.

For your inventory, distinguish people from configured application definitions. Ask the solution architect how your applications will be represented, then have procurement record the resulting allocation and expansion price.

CASB API: a seat is not necessarily a person

Current CASB API terms allow seat-based or user-based subscriptions. A seat represents a user-to-application-instance relationship. User-based subscriptions cover unlimited non-generative-AI applications; both models include a fixed retroactive scanning volume. Additional user, seat, or TB entitlements are available, and unused allocation does not roll over. CASB API licensing terms.

An illustrative inventory of 500 monitored accounts across two separate SaaS instances could represent 1,000 seat relationships. That is a quantity example, not a dollar estimate. Ask Netskope to confirm the billable count for your applications, including duplicate accounts and tenants, before comparing it with a quote using 500 user subscriptions.

Branch networking needs its own scope

Netskope markets SASE Branch as its secure SD-WAN offering and describes networking and security convergence under Converged Access. This establishes that branch networking is an available product area; it does not make every branch deployment part of an SSE user subscription. Netskope Converged Access.

The public SD-WAN licensing page directs readers to documentation behind a login. We could not independently verify those detailed terms. Request the applicable licensing document and record site quantities, capacity definitions, appliance costs, redundancy, and support in the order.

Why an older price list is not a current estimate

A Netskope-hosted August 2024 price-list PDF is publicly indexed. Its indexed text includes Professional and Enterprise SSE packages, Private Access bundles, annual user pricing, and volume conditions. Direct retrieval failed during this review, so we could not inspect the complete document and its qualifications.

We therefore do not reproduce its dollar amounts or treat its package names as a verified current catalog. A two-year-old list cannot establish your October 2026 net price, eligibility, included functions, or renewal terms. If a seller uses it as a reference, ask for a current SKU mapping and an explicit explanation of what changed.

A worksheet for comparable Netskope quotes

Copy the following rows into your purchasing spreadsheet. Fill them from the written offer, not the product demonstration. “Included” should identify the package or SKU that provides the entitlement.

FieldWhat to record
ScopeWeb, inline SaaS, API SaaS, private apps, branches, and endpoints covered
Package and editionExact names, SKUs, and applicable licensing documents
QuantityUsers, seat relationships, application segments, scan TB, sites, and other quoted units
Effective datesStart, end, deployment milestones, and billing schedule
Unit priceNet price, currency, billing unit, and subscription duration
AdditionsIsolation, analytics, retention, egress IPs, DEM, support, and any other requested options
ServicesImplementation deliverables, training, migration, and acceptance criteria
GrowthMinimum commitment, extra-unit price, true-up process, and allowed reductions
RenewalPrice protections, notice periods, automatic renewal, and termination conditions
ExclusionsTaxes, connectivity, hardware, infrastructure, and third-party charges

Normalize subscription lines to a common annual period. An annual per-user price divided by 12 gives a monthly equivalent for comparison; it does not imply monthly billing or cancellation rights. Keep one-time implementation costs separate from recurring fees.

Then compare the full contract cost: subscriptions plus paid options, services, infrastructure, and the overlap period with existing tools. For a multiyear decision, model the actual payments in each year rather than multiplying a first-year promotional figure.

Deployment costs to plan before signing

These are planning considerations, not asserted Netskope fees:

  • Traffic steering and certificates: budget engineering time to deploy the client, distribute trusted certificates, and handle applications that require exceptions.
  • Private applications: inventory dependencies, assign owners, and plan publisher hosting and availability. Confirm the segment design before ordering capacity.
  • SaaS scanning: identify application instances and historical data volumes. Establish a scan plan against the written entitlement.
  • DLP tuning: allocate time for classification rules, monitoring, false-positive review, incident handling, and user communication.
  • Branch migration: include installation, redundancy, internet circuits, and overlap with existing networking contracts.
  • Operations: specify log export, retention, identity integration, and support responsibilities before comparing prices.

Request a staged rollout offer and a fully deployed offer using the same requirements. Compare when subscriptions begin with when users and sites can actually migrate. A gradual technical rollout does not itself mean gradual billing.

Pilot acceptance criteria should include your critical applications, certificate exceptions, private-app dependencies, and incident workflow. Measure what matters to your environment; this article does not report hands-on product testing.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a reliable Netskope price per user per month?

We did not verify a current public rate supporting one universal figure. Obtain the exact bundle, annual or other billing unit, net price, and quantities. Separate API seats and other non-user dimensions before calculating an equivalent monthly cost.

Does a Netskope SSE quote include SD-WAN?

The platform offers both security and networking products, but the brand name does not establish entitlement. Require branch networking scope and licensing to appear in the offer. Our SSE versus SASE guide explains which architectural decision you are making.

Can I compare Netskope with Zscaler using the headline price?

Only after matching requirements, coverage, quantities, support, and contract periods. Read the Zscaler pricing guide, then compare web-security capabilities and private-app access against your required scope.

What should I send Netskope to get a useful quote?

Send an inventory of users, private applications, SaaS instances, scanning requirements, branches, deployment dates, and required controls. Use the SASE RFP toolkit to capture those requirements consistently across vendors.

Methodology: This is a public-document buying guide, reviewed October 13, 2026. Product pages describe available capabilities; licensing terms describe specific units and limits. The executed order and applicable contract determine your entitlements and price.
